Alaska State Troopers say a 22-year-old Eagle River woman died Thursday after an all-terrain-vehicle rollover along remote Indian River, 200 miles northwest of Fairbanks.

Brittany Conklin lost control of the four-wheeler, rolling it early Thursday morning, report KTUU-TV and the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.

According to investigators, Conklin was not wearing a helmet and suffered significant head injuries.

Witnesses and a medical evacuation flight provided medical attention, but they were unable to stabilize and resuscitate Conklin.

Conklin had a job in the area, the News-Miner reported.
